Durham Reveals FBI Agents Apologized to Him for Trump Russia Hoax

Special Counsel John Durham revealed how a number of FBI agents “apologized” to him for the 2016 Russia hoax and how the investigation “was undertaken” at the bureau at the expense of the American people.

During his explosive testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, Durham told Congress that active and retired agents apologized for how the bureau’s politicized investigation was conducted into then-President Donald Trump.

“I have had any number of FBI agents who I’ve worked with over the years — some of them are retired, some of them are still in place — who’ve come to me and apologized for the manner in which that investigation was undertaken,” Durham said.

Then-Attorney General Bill Barr appointed Durham as a special counsel to investigate the FBI’s probe into the Trump campaign for alleged Russian collusion.

As CNN reported, Durham defended himself Wednesday amid sharp criticism from Democrats, and also rejected former President Donald Trump’s attacks on former Attorney General Bill Barr, who appointed Durham to conduct his investigation into the FBI’s Russia probe.

Durham is testifying publicly before the House Judiciary Committee regarding the details of his report that concluded that the FBI should have only launched a preliminary, but not full, investigation into connections between Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia during the 2016 election.

Durham’s report confirmed what many already knew, that the Russian hoax was a politically motivated attack against the president.

As The Daily Fetched reported in May, the 300-page report indicated the Department of Justice and FBI “failed to uphold their mission of strict fidelity to the law” when it launched the Trump-Russia investigation.

The Durham report further included that the Trump-Russia investigation was based on “raw, unanalyzed and uncorroborated intelligence, which totally goes against what Rachel Maddow has been spewing for years.

In his opening statement at the hearing, John Durham explained what was uncovered.

Durham’s report outlined the abuses of power during the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, which sought to uncover supposed collusion between Donald Trump and Russia to influence the 2016 election.

There was no evidentiary basis for the investigation, but the FBI moved forward anyway, ending in the special counsel, which lasted for years before reaching a dead end.
