President Joe Biden is contemplating a new executive order that would give amnesty to over 1 million undocumented immigrants who are married to U.S. citizens but were ineligible for green cards.
Biden is now exploring additional measures to address the issue of undocumented immigrants residing in the U.S. ahead of the 2024 election, the Daily Mail reports.

The “parole in place” program will allow spouses of U.S. citizens who were initially denied citizenship to reside in the country legally.
The program will address the primary reasons for denial, such as repeated illegal entry into the country or forging legal documentation.
Under the program, temporary status would allow immigrants to obtain work permits and establish a pathway toward citizenship.
The Post Millennial’s Libby Emmons responded to the news on X:
“First step in mass amnesty for illegal immigrants incoming.”
This is a great way to piss off all the Americans who’ve been living apart from their spouses while trying to get them legal visas.

Meanwhile, other X users vented frustrations with Biden’s potential amnesty program.
“This is a great way to piss off all the Americans who’ve been living apart from their spouses while trying to get them legal visas,” said one user.
However, the specifics of this potential executive action have yet to be approved.
The White House also discussed the possibility of timing such an announcement before the election.
As The Mail notes, immense strain has been placed on states bordering Mexico as hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants continue to cross the southern border every month.
Since Biden took office, there has been record-breaking levels of illegal immigration.
The open border has prompted House Republicans to pursue impeachment articles against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, despite the Senate voting to dismiss the articles just last week.
In a 51-48 vote last Wednesday, the Senate swiftly rejected both articles of impeachment against Mayorkas, effectively ending the trial that the House triggered with its narrow vote to impeach
Texas Governor Greg Abbott responded to the news:
“If Sec. Mayorkas will not be held accountable for refusing to follow federal law, why should ANY American be accountable for refusing to follow federal law?”
“The Senate sets a double standard for Americans,” he continued.
“You will reap what you sow.”

Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert said the rejected articles of impeachment is “disgusting partisan behavior.”
I'd like Democrats in the Senate to look Laken Riley's parents in the eyes and tell them Mayorkas shouldn't have had an impeachment trial.

It is simply disgusting partisan behavior.
The articles accused Mayorkas of willfully ignoring the law and breaching the public’s trust.
According to Democrats, the opposition was a policy dispute, claiming it failed to meet the threshold of “high crimes and misdemeanors” required for impeachment.
