X owner Elon Musk responded to Joe Biden after his recent claims that “misinformation” was rampant on his platform in a series of hilarious posts.
“What about what Elon Musk has done to Twitter?” ProPublica’s John Harwood asked Biden.
“Lowering guardrails to misinformation, does that contribute to it?”
“Yeah, it does,” Biden claimed.

Biden then said people go “online” to get their news, where they have “no notion of whether it’s true or not.”
Musk responded with a “Lamooo.”

Many argued that Elon had exposed misinformation being pushed on Twitter before he took over, not the other way around.
Musk went on to note that the real president was “the one who controlled the teleprompter.”

What he meant to say is how upset he is that the government can no longer control what you see on X.

Last week, Musk fired the majority of the remaining Twitter team responsible for maintaining ‘election integrity,’ claiming that, in reality, they were doing the exact opposite.
Musk responded to a post from X News Daily, which reported on the staff’s firing.
“Oh, you mean the ‘Election Integrity’ Team that was undermining election integrity?” Elon Musk wrote, adding, “Yeah, they’re gone.”
Oh you mean the “Election Integrity” Team that was undermining election integrity? Yeah, they’re gone.

Meanwhile, Musk has been fighting other battles on the platform.
Last month, Musk threatened to sue the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a major anti-First Amendment organization which has been pushing the platform to crack down on conservative accounts.
In response to a post from Libs of Tik-Tok, Elon Musk noted the ADL had pushed Twitter-X to crack down on accounts like Libs of Tik-Tok, even though the account had nothing to do with anti-Semitism.

Musk accused the ADL of “trying to kill this platform by falsely accusing it & me of being anti-Semitic” after the shady nonprofit claimed there was a spike in hate speech on the platform.
X is also suing the Center for Countering Digital Hate for “false” claims after alleging that bigoted speech had surged on the platform since Musk took over.
Axios reported that An ADL spokesperson said that the nonprofit doesn’t comment on legal threats but addressed the push to remove the group from X.
“ADL is unsurprised yet undeterred that antisemites, white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, and other trolls have launched a coordinated attack on our organization. This type of thing is nothing new,” the spokesperson said.
