Tucker Carlson and Twitter CEO Elon Musk are discussing working together as the former Fox News host reportedly plans on building his own media empire that would effectively sink the establishment fake news media.
Carlson is getting closer to allowing his top allies to go after Fox News for imprisoning him within his contract, an attempt by the network to keep him on the sidelines until well after the 2024 election.
Bryan Freedman, Carlson’s attorney, said in a statement:
“The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous.”
According to the report, Carlson is in the process of “plotting a media empire of his own” but is unable to do anything unless Fox News releases him from the contract.
However, sources close to Carlson said the former host was considering building a direct-to-consumer subscription-based media company, allowing him unfiltered direct access to his audience.
Both Musk and Carlson have discussed working together. However, the specifics are still shrouded in secrecy.
But given what Musk has already done with Twitter in terms of removing censorship, and combined with Carlson’s unprecedented journalistic talent and integrity, we can only imagine the outcome of such a collaboration could sink the fake news media forever.
According to a report from The Daily Wire:
Carlson’s top allies have been pressing him to allow them to attack Fox News, but he has so far urged them not to and prefers to deal with the matter privately and professionally. The Daily Wire can confirm this detail based on conversations with multiple people close to Carlson.
Still, sources told Axios that Carlson wants his freedom and is preparing to “unleash” his allies to attack the network: “His team is preparing for war.”
After being taken off the air, Carlson released a statement hinting that he wanted to focus on covering significant issues often not discussed on television news.
“The undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all: war, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources,” he said.
“When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues? It’s been a long time. Debates like that are not permitted in American media,” Carlson added.
“Both political parties and their donors have reached consensus on what benefits them, and they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it.”
“When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful,” he added.
“At the same time, the liars who’ve been trying to silence them shrink and they become weaker. That’s the iron law of the universe. True things prevail. Where can you still find Americans saying true things?”
“There aren’t many places left, but there are some, and that’s enough. As long as you can hear the words, there is hope.”
He signed off his message by saying, “See you soon.”
