Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s town hall meeting in the Orona neighborhood of Queens descended into chaos as New Yorkers expressed their frustration with Democrat policies putting illegal migrants before American citizens.
Among the issues New Yorkers were angry about included the border crisis, the debt ceiling, and billions in military aid to Ukraine.
New Yorkers disrupted the event and began heckling AOC.
One man shouted, “American citizens before migrants,” as he held American flags, as seen on Freedom News TV.
Meanwhile, some supporters booed at the angry New Yorkers as security personnel escorted the man away from the event.
AOC appeared to shrug it off and said, “OK,” as the man was escorted out.
Throughout the town hall, chants of “America First” from a group of fed-up New Yorkers.
But some supporters booed back, thus creating a tense atmosphere.
In another interruption, a female protester said this:
“We are on the verge of nuclear war with Russia!”

The statement drew both surprise and also disapproval from the crowd as further booing continued.
Another woman was removed when she yelled: “Stop funding this war, there’s a lot of communities that need help and need that money. I’m from that community”
“I don’t like that Republicans passed a $1.7 trillion tax cut on the wealthiest people in this country,” told the crowd to large applause.
One prominent sign read: “AOC: An obvious criminal.”
Others had phrases such as: “Stop funding Ukraine,” “American First.”
Later, the woman was escorted out by security.
