British comedian Comedian Ricky Gervais has ramped up his personal security after receiving death threats from angry liberals furious about his anti-woke comedy.
Gervais, who famously took down the Hollywood elite in his hilarious and now iconic speech at the Golden Globes in 2020, has now taken security action with a ‘ring of steel‘ while traveling across the U.S amid fears of being attacked.
The comedian took things a step further n preparation for his ‘Armageddon’ tour of the United Kingdom, set to start on 14 June.
The Sun reported:
“Ricky has been made aware threats have been made to his life. His offices haven’t shown them to him but have told him very disturbing letters have come in for him.
Ricky is very aware of the dangers, and he can afford whatever security he wants, so he thought it was a no-brainer.”
One of the most “significant death threats” Ricky Gervais received came after his anti-trans joke on his last stand-up special, SuperNature, which drew massive criticism from LGBT and trans activists.

Dave Chappelle, a comedian who also jokes about woke issues, was attacked on stage at the venue last year.
Gervais has stood firm on his style of comedy and argued it should not be suppressed for fear of upsetting or offending certain people.
