Democratic governor Kathy Hochul was forced to issue a grovelling apology after she suggested that black children in New York do not know what computers are.
Hochul spoke in California at the Milken Institute Global Conference on Monday, claiming she would enable a more diverse tech workforce.
During her speech, the out-of-touch Democrat declared, “Right now we have, you know, young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is.”
“They don’t know, they don’t know these things. And I want the world opened up to all of them,” she added.

Following a massive backlash, Hochul attempted to retract the remarks, saying, “I misspoke, and I regret it.”
“Of course, Black children in the Bronx know what computers are.”
User on X responded:
This is just nauseatingly racist and condescending.

The underlying perception conveyed about Black and brown children from the Bronx is not only disheartening but also deeply concerning.

this should be a wake up call for every black person – this is how the left thinks about you and how they will use you for their political gains, by all means necessary.
