Former FBI Director James Comey said he would not vote for the Republican nominee in 2024, even if it’s not Donald Trump, declaring it has to be Joe Biden.
Speaking with Jen Psaki on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki,” Comey expressed fears of Trump becoming president.
Psaki asked, “You said that Trump poses a near existential threat to the rule of law; tell me a little bit about the specifics of what he could try to do; what do you mean by that?”
Comey responded:
“I think about what four years of a retribution presidency might look like,” Comey said.
“He could order the investigation and prosecution of individuals who he sees as enemies. I’m sure I’m on the enemies list.”
“Because the president constitutionally does oversee the Executive Branch entirely, which includes the Department of Justice, prosecutors and investigators,” Comey added.
Psaki said:
“You have been Republican most of your life, and you may still consider yourself one, but you voted for Biden in 2020. Do you intend to vote for him again, or is there anyone on the Republican side you might consider if it’s not Trump?”
Comey replied:
“It has to be Joe Biden, and I’m glad he’s willing to serve,” Comey said, weighing on the 2024 presidential race.

“It has to be somebody committed to the rule of law, committed to the values of this country. And I’m not talking about policy,” Comey continued.
“People can disagree about policy. There are things above those disagreements that all of us should think about the same way,” he added.
“The president must be someone who abides by the law and our Constitution. And there’s no one else but Joe Biden.”
As we know, Comey pushed the intelligence investigation against candidate and president-elect Trump and President Trump.
The former FBI director knew the investigation into Trump was based on a lie.
So it’s no surprise Comey thinks Trump poses a “near-existential threat,” because the threat is to the corrupt system, not the country.
Despite the Durham report confirming the above, Comey said he believed “There’s nothing new in this new document,”
“In complex investigations, there’s always going to be mistakes. It doesn’t mean the FBI isn’t competent, honest, and independent.”
“I think he poses a near existential threat to the rule of law,” Comey claimed.
‘He will do everything he can in a new term to try to tear down the institutions that he sees as threats and dismantle them and the people who occupy them.”
