Nancy Pelosi Forced to Pay Settlement for Sending Man Harassing Messages

California Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi paid a settlement of $7,500 to an Illinois man who accused the former House Speaker of harassing him with messages and violating federal robocalling laws.

As the New York Post reported last week:

“The Nancy Pelosi campaign has paid an Illinois resident $7,500 in a settlement after the man sued the California Democrat for repeatedly sending unsolicited fundraising text messages.

Jorge Rojas sued the 83-year-old Pelosi’s campaign in October, saying it had violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 by hitting him up with 21 “harassing” messages between November 2021 and July 2022.”

“In October 2022, a Bolingbrook, Illinois resident named Jorge Rojas filed a 13-page lawsuit in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois that accused the former speaker of the House and her campaign of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991,” Business Insider reported.

“That law, which has been found to apply to text messages in addition to calls, applies restrictions to robocalling and requires telemarketers not to contact individuals who’ve placed themselves on the Do Not Call Registry,” the outlet added.

Rojas received 21 texts from Pelosi’s campaign between November 2021 to July 2022 even though he placed himself on the registry in 2008 to ‘obtain solitude from invasive and harassing telemarketing calls.”

Rojas began his complaint, stating:

“As the Supreme Court has explained, Americans passionately disagree about many things. But they are largely united in their disdain for robocalls.”

In his lawsuit, Rojas said he “experienced frustration, annoyance, irritation, and a sense that his privacy has been invaded” from a barrage of texts from Pelosi.

He added the texts from Pelosi’s campaign constituted “malicious, intentional, willful, reckless, wanton and negligent disregard” for his rights.

Initially, Rojas sought $31,500 in damages from Pelosi’s campaign, including $1,500 for each text message they sent.

However, in February, Rojas moved to dismiss the suit against Pelosi.

“And according to federal campaign finance disclosures made public on Friday, the dismissal came after Rojas received a $7,500 payment marked ‘Settlement’ from Pelosi’s congressional campaign,” Insider reported.

As Fox News noted:

Pelosi was a prodigious fundraiser throughout her decades in leadership of the House Democrats, raking in tens of million in donations for her and her Democratic colleagues.

Pelosi stepped down from Democratic leadership following the 2022 election, however, and it is unclear whether she will continue to play a pivotal role in fundraising efforts. Pelosi took her successor, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., on a tour to meet top Democratic donors in California early this year.

It Should’ve been 75 million. The corrupt, dark-souled, America-hating skunk owes billions for her role in destroying the culture, economy, and national defense. The woman is an absolute disgrace to everything America stands for.
