San Francisco State University responded to the violent assault on NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines by offering the transgender activists responsible for the attack counseling.
Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management) later blocked the swimmer on Twitter.
Turning Point USA’s David Llamas shared a copy of the email sent by Moore on Saturday afternoon.
“Today, San Francisco State finds itself again at the center of a national discussion regarding freedom of speech and expression,” Moore’s letter began.
“Let me begin by saying clearly: the trans community is welcome and belongs at San Francisco State University. Further, our community fiercely believes in unity, connection, care and compassion, and we value different ideas, even when they are not our own.”
Moore then touted the value of diversity before noting SFSU was a very diverse campus, meaning students were likely to be exposed to new ideas.
She also made it clear that she had sided with the protesters: “We may also find ourselves exposed to divergent views and even views we find personally abhorrent.”
“These encounters have sometimes led to discord, anger, confrontation and fear. We must meet this moment and unite with a shared value of learning,” Moore continued, praising the “tremendous bravery” of the violent protesters.
“Thank you to our students who participated peacefully in Thursday evening’s event. It took tremendous bravery to stand in a challenging space. I am proud of the moments where we listened and asked insightful questions. I am also proud of the moments when our students demonstrated the value of free speech and the right to protest peacefully. These issues do not go away, and these values are very much at our core,” she wrote.
Gaines pointed out that the protesters were anything but peaceful.
“I’m sorry did this just say PEACEFUL…. I was assaulted. I was extorted and held for random. The protestors demanded I pay them if I wanted to make it home safely,” Gaines said in response to the letter.
“I missed my flight home because I was barricaded in a classroom… We must have different definitions of peaceful,” Gaines added.
“The woman who released the statement following the riot where I was verbally and physically assaulted at @SFSU (to which she called peaceful) blocked me,” Gaines tweeted. “I guess it’s easier for her to ignore me than to denounce violence against women. She won’t be able to ignore my lawsuit.”

Care and compassion for women who are NOT men dressing as women, who are NOT cheating in women’s sports while obviously having a man’s body (taller, stronger), and particularly NOT publicly acting out (due to fear, ignorance, or simply social conformity/survival) the challenging tragedy of gender dysphoria, a mental illness and basically sad situation, which oddly, used to be quite rare, but has inexplicably recently been encouraged, publicized, and even commercialized.
The train is coming. The ONLY thing keeping freaks safe, is free citizens (mistakenly) trusting the “law”, to keep order and keep them safe.
