Colorado gay club shooter Anderson Lee Aldrich now identifies as non-binary, using they/them pronouns, according to reports.
22-year-old Aldrich is suspected of having murdered five people and injured others at Club Q on Saturday.
It was also revealed that Aldrich’s estranged father is a porn star named ‘Dick Delaware.’
The suspect’s original name was Nicholas Franklin Brink before they changed it to Anderson Lee Aldrich in 2016 in a petition signed by their mother.
According to a court filing, the public defenders of the alleged Colorado Gay Club Shooter said that their client is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.
The petition, which was signed when Aldrich still identified as male, the name change was meant ‘to protect himself and his future from any connections’ to his birth father, Aaron Brink.
Aaron Brink left Aldrich’s mother when Anderson was a baby before taking up MMA and porn under the stage name ‘Dick Delaware.’
Brink also has a colorful criminal history, including convictions for battery against the alleged shooter’s mother, both before and after the suspect was born.

A 2002 misdemeanor battery conviction in California resulted in a protective order that initially barred the father, Aaron F. Brink, from contacting the suspect or his mother except through an attorney but was later modified to allow monitored visits with the child.
The father also was sentenced to two and a half years in custody for the importation of marijuana and, while on supervised release, violated his conditions by testing positive for illegal steroids, according to public records.
The revelation comes days after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi marked Transgender Remembrance Day by implicating MAGA Republicans in the Colorado Gay Club shooting.
“As our nation marks Transgender Day of Remembrance, the House Democratic Caucus mourns the countless Americans stolen away by the scourge of transphobic violence, a crisis that continues to disproportionately harm trans people of color,” Pelosi said in a statement.
“That fight remains more urgent than ever, as right-wing extremists target transgender Americans’ most fundamental rights and freedoms. Whether spouting dangerous rhetoric from cable news desks or openly bullying schoolchildren from the halls of power, MAGA Republicans are cruelly undermining the safety and well-being of our transgender community,” Pelosi added.
“Horrified by such shameless bigotry, House Democrats are proud to march alongside our trans friends,” Pelosi said.
