PayPal is attempting to stop droves of people from canceling their accounts by offering $15 in the wake of its recent announcement to take $2500 for spreading ‘misinformation.’
Earlier this week, “BoycottPayPal” began trending on Twitter following the payment platform’s acceptable use policy (AUP) was announced.
Meanwhile, Google searches for “how to cancel PayPal” and “cancel PayPal account” also began trending, along with “delete PayPal account” and “how do I delete a PayPal account.”
Global Google searches for “delete PayPal” also spiked 1,392% following the platform’s announcement.
PayPal’s announcement to reserve the right to take up to $2500 from people’s accounts if they ‘spread hate’ saw massive backlash, which prompted the platform to make a sharp u-turn.

PayPal’s stock price continues to plummet amid users canceling their accounts.
But a spokesman has said that “PayPal is not fining people for misinformation and the language was never intended to be inserted into our policy,” and that the updated policy was published in error.
PayPal’s previous president, David Marcus, Elon Musk, and Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, and actor Kevin Sorbo — have joined the PayPal backlash on Twitter.
I want $2500 and an apology not to do stupid things in the future.

I deleted my account about two weeks earlier than their $2500 blunder. I heard that they “cancelled” some conservatives I happen to think are “OK” and I realized that I don’t need to patronize a company that out of nowhere just cancels people for beind different from them. So much for the “Diversity” B.S. that the Left spouts. When I cancelled, it was a breeze and took me about a minute. I was with them 20 years exactly, and I quit on the spot. So long PayPal. You’re a losing b******s.
I logged in to my canadian account today for the first time in a while. They are somehow offering me 5$. Will wait for the 5$ and then cancel my account. Maybe they will offer me 15$ for that too?
