During the highly anticipated Tucker Carlson interview with Vladimir Putin, the Russian president remarked that Joe Biden is not the one leading the country, suggesting he is not in control.
During the explosive interview, Carlson asked Putin if he had been in contact with Biden since the war in Ukraine.
Putin responded by saying that while he maintains communication “through various agencies” in the United States, it is not Biden.
“Certain contacts are being maintained,” Putin told Tucker, adding that Russia was negotiating to work with the US on a missile defense system in previous years.
Putin then said he did not remember the last time he spoke to Biden, noting that it wasn’t really that important because he had more serious things to do.
The Russian leader added that the last time he said anything to Biden was before the Ukraine invasion:
“I said to him, then, I believe you are making a huge mistake of historic proportions by supporting everything that is happening there, in Ukraine, by pushing Russia away,” Putin said.

Putin went on to mock Biden, asking, “Why would I call him? What should I talk to him about?”
“Or beg him for what?”, he continued.
“You’re going to deliver weapons to Ukraine? Oh I’m afraid, I’m afraid, please don’t,” he said sracastically.
“What is there to talk about?” Putin sarcastically added.
The Russian leader went on to add that the US “needs to stop supplying weapons” if they want to stop the war, warning that it will never be enough to defeat Russia militarily.
“If you really want to stop fighting, you need to stop supplying weapons”, Putin proclaimed, adding “It will be over within a few weeks.”
Putin then stated that if the US ever tried to put troops into Ukraine it would push humanity to the brink of a major global conflict, calling such threats to do so a “cheap provocation.”
“Does the United States need this? What for?” Putin questioned.
“Thousands of miles away from your national territory. Don’t you have anything better to do?” Putin added.
He continued:
“You have issues on the border, issues with migration, issues with the national debt, more than 33 trillion dollars.”
“You have nothing better to do, so you should fight with Ukraine? Wouldn’t it be better to negotiate with Russia?”
Putin then stated:
“It goes against common sense to get involved in some kind of a global war. And a global war will bring all humanity to the brink of destruction. It’s obvious.”
He then claimed that Western leadership has “been scaring everyone with us all along…in order to extort additional money from US taxpayers and European taxpayers in the confrontation with Russia in the Ukrainian theatre of war. The goal is to weaken Russia as much as possible.”
Putin also claimed that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson sabotaged a peace deal with Ukraine, which would have ended the war 18 months ago.
