Thousands of Bud Light Truck Drivers Prepare to Strike over Poor Pay

Bud Light’s delivery truck drivers are preparing to strike after the brand’s parent company failed to bargain in good faith over compensation and benefits.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the union overseeing Bud Light drivers, said its members voted to authorize a strike.

The move could stall Anheuser-Busch deliveries nationwide amid ongoing talks with company leadership.

The mass walkout would begin next year if no labor agreement is finalized.

Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien said:

“Teamsters stand firm in our fight for the best contract at Anheuser-Busch, and this powerful strike vote proves it.”

“Our members’ labor, talent, and sacrifice put Anheuser-Busch products on the shelf, and we are committed to getting a contract that rewards and recognizes their hard work.”

According to O’Brien, t 99 percent of his more than 5,000 drivers voted to authorize the strike.

This vote shows how memebers have become over poor pay and benefits while Anheuser-Busch still suffers the devastating effects of protests against Bud Light.

“If Anheuser-Busch’s executives can’t get their act together to negotiate an agreement that respects workers, we will see them out on the streets,” O’Brien said.

Teamsters added that both sides had reached deals on ending tiered health plans and health benefits but remained far apart on job security issues.

The union was also concerned with the company’s recent move to buy back more than $1 billion in stocks from shareholders.

A spokesman for Anheuser-Busch told Fox News:

“Anheuser-Busch is aware of the Teamsters’ strike authorization vote, common during labor negotiations. We are committed to negotiating in good faith with the union to reach an agreement that recognizes and rewards the talent, commitment, and drive of our employees.”

Earlier this year, receipts showed Anheuser-Busch paid Dylan Mulvaney $185,000, proving they did, in fact, have a formal business arrangement.

“This was one single can given to one social media influencer,” Anheuser-Busch’s CEO claimed in an apology letter.

“It was not made for production or sale to the general public. This can is not a formal campaign or advertisement.”

Earlier this year, another marketing debacle hit the brand after news reports revealed Bill Gates bought the Anheuser-Busch $95 million worth of shares through his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust.

Gates believes the company will significantly return after its Bud Light brand’s disastrous and debilitating boycott.
