A supporter of President Donald Trump snapped a selfie of Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie sleeping on a plane on Thursday, which quickly went viral.
New Hampshire-based reporter Heather Mullins, who previously worked at Real America’s Voice, took a selfie of her wearing a MAGA hat with Chris Christie sleeping on the other aisle of the plane.
Around seven hours after Mullins posted the picture on Twitter, it garnered over 6,000 retweets, 22,000 likes, and 1.6 million views.
Mullins later wrote that he suspected Chrsitie saw the post and gave her a “nod” before they debarked the plane.
“I landed, looked over my shoulder, & he looked RIGHT at me & gave a nod,” she wrote.
“He knows! LOL! Someone must have told him he went viral while in the air,” she added.
“It was honestly cute that he & his wife were holding hands; I hold no ill will,” wrote Mullins, adding she wants him to stop taking shots at Trump only “to fail at getting ahead.”
Christie has been attacking Trump frequently in recent years and took aim at the 45th president during his campaign launch in New Hampshire earlier this month.
“If your leaders are not willing to admit to you that they’re fallible, that they make mistakes, that they hurt like you, that they bleed like you, and that they suffer disappointments and letdowns, beware,” he said before naming Trump.
Trump has returned fire at Christie on Truth Social, including posting an edited video superimposed with a buffet in front of Christie.
Trump noted Christie’s repeated use of the word “small.”
“Does he have a psychological problem with SIZE?” Trump wondered in another post.
