Pope Francis claimed that “sharing ownership is not communism but is pure Christianity” while demonizing conservatism.
In January 2022, Francis lectured tax authorities that taxation is “a necessary tool for wealth redistribution,” another communist talking point.
During his reign as leader of the Catholic Church, Francis has worked overtime to isolate and other conservative Catholics.
The Pontiff continues to push Marxist initiatives like global warming and climate change legislation.
He also attacked President Trump for defending the US border from invasion.
More recently, Pope Francis openly attacked conservatives in an interview with 60 Minutes.
According to the Pontiff, conservatism is “a suicidal attitude.”
Why doesn’t he say what he really means? Anyone who loves their country and freedom is now enemies of the state.
“There are conservative bishops in the United States that oppose your new efforts to revisit teachings and traditions. How do you address their criticism?” Norah O’Donnell asked the Pope.
Pope Francis responded:
“You use an adjective – “conservative.” That is conservative, which is one who clings to something and does not want to see beyond that.”
“It is a suicidal attitude. Because one thing is to take tradition into account,” he said.
“To consider situations from the past. But quite another to be closed up inside a dogmatic box.”
Watch
This isn’t the first time the Pope has attacked conservatives.
In 2022, Pope Francis took aim at conservatives and populism during his homily for the World Day of the Poor.
Francis accused populists of exploiting people’s real needs with “facile and hasty solutions.”
“Let us not listen to prophets of doom,” the pontiff said.
“Let us not be enchanted by the sirens of populism, which exploit people’s real needs by facile and hasty solutions.”
