Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has called for the United States to end capitalism, despite owning a $5.4 million dollar mansion and accumulating a $40 million net worth.
The former sports personality turned civil rights activist insisted that “black liberation” is not possible under capitalism while promoting his new book, which is co-edited by two self-declared Marxists.
As The Daily Mail reported:
“Speaking to the New Republic, the former NFL quarterback, 35, defended partnering with Robin D.G. Kelley and Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor to edit the anthology, Our History Has Always Been Contraband: In Defense of Black Studies.
Kelley is a professor of history at UCLA who has described himself as a ‘Marxist surrealist feminist.’
Taylor, also a vocal Marxist, teaches African American studies at Northwestern University and is on the board of the International Socialist Review.”
“I’ve long admired Keeanga and Robin’s work as well as their uncompromising political analysis and understanding that Black liberation simply isn’t possible under capitalism,” Kaepernick said when asked about working with “two of the most prominent black Marxists in the country.”
“I think the anthology makes this argument quite well, and I hope it challenges readers to see that racism is not white supremacy’s only ingredient.,” he added.
“White supremacy persists in part because of its relationship with capitalism, heteropatriarchy, ableism, and so on,” Kaepernick continued.
Kaepernick said, “Black history and, more generally, a critical engagement with U.S. history, threatens the white supremacist status quo’ and that his new book is the kind of book DeSantis wants to ban.”
He added:
“Any attempt to whitewash the past should actually be understood as a concrete step toward fascism and a desire to build a nation-state where power is concentrated in the hands of a self-anointed (read: white) few.”
Kaepernick hadn’t played in the NFL since 2016 when he began protesting “racist police brutality” by kneeling during the national anthem before games.
Kaepernick sued the NFL in 2017, accusing team owners of colluding to keep him out of the league for his protests.
In 2019, the NFL and lawyers for players Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid jointly announced they had settled a complaint of collusion by the players, who claimed football team owners blackballed them because they had protested racial injustice and police brutality by kneeling during the playing of the national anthem before games.
Kaepernick also runs a publishing company and founded “The Colin Kaepernick Foundation,” a nonprofit that aims to empower Black and Brown youth.

I guess he got his. F— all the rest of you.
Anti-American Anti-Capitalist MFrs like this douche are always the first to reap the benefits of a capitalist society — most importantly, the money. What he ignorantly lacks IQ ability to understand is, if capitalism goes away, socialism and more likely (eventually) communism replaces it, which means the state owns everything, you own nothing. You are no longer truly “free” and you certainly don’t have your own money, especially millions like he does. THE STATE confiscates everything. And socialism is just a precursor to Marxism/Communism. Ask ANYONE from places where capitalism doesn’t exist. They will educate those geniuses who say otherwise.
