Cartoon Network faced heavy criticism after one of its animated shows aimed at toddlers featured new non-binary characters and had them say their pronouns, including some using “they/them.”
“We Baby Bears” on Cartoon Network had a new episode set to air during ‘Pride’ month titled “Polly’s New Crew” featuring “they/them” pronouns and non-binary characters.
“I am the great Winnifred, she/her. Actor extraordinaire!” one character that looks like a butch cat and also dances around a pole, say.
One of the bear characters, who uses a little kid’s voice, says, Our crew also has a new addition. Meet Box!”
“They use they/them pronouns, and they make an exceptionally good quiche!” the bear states.
Yes, it is an actual box, a little bit strange, but it’s more bizarre that it’s using they/them pronouns.
Polly, the parrot captain, replies, “I use they/them pronouns as well!”
The clip was shared by Libs of TikTok, who pointed out it is pushing gender ideology on toddlers.
“They’re after your kids,” Libs of TikTok warned.

In May, the cartoon also featured trans-identifying male activist Dominique Jackson as the voicer over.
Cartoon Network defended the move, stating, “During the production of ‘We Baby Bears,’ a few crew members came out with they/them pronouns, and we felt that it was important to reflect that in the show.”
The statement continues:
“Our show team values representation because it’s something everybody on the show deeply cares about, and that’s why we aim to cast LGBTQ talent like Alok Vaid-Menon, Harvey Guillén, and Dominique Jackson.”
Unsurprisingly, parents are outraged:
