Vice President Kamala Harris voiced concerns about the prospect of former President Donald Trump defeating President Biden and returning to the White House.
“I was scared as heck,” Harris admitted during her appearance on ABC’s “The View.”
“We should all be scared.”

This is a far cry from what Harris said earlier this week.
Ahead of the Iowa caucuses, ABC News asked Harris about the administration’s concerns regarding the GOP nominee.
“Well, let me just tell you this. No matter who the Republican nominee is, we’re winning,” she said.
“We’re winning,” Harris repeated.
Meanwhile, growing concerns about Biden’s campaign have become prevalent in the Democratic Party, especially with Trump’s significant victory in the Iowa caucus.
Earlier this week, former aides to former President Obama have become concerned about Biden’s election strategies for 2024 as polls suggest he is falling into deeper trouble.
Multiple Obama staff members spoke with Politico about their experiences in the 2012 election, noting how Biden’s is much different.
Meanwhile, some Obama aides said Biden’s team has a weaker ground game than the former president’s.
“The vibe was that the campaign didn’t have its sh-t together,” an anonymous Democrat told Politico.
“There wasn’t infrastructure in the states. There wasn’t a beefed-up campaign headquarters. And compared to where Obama was in 2011, the campaign was fairly anemic.”
Former Obama strategist David Axelrod said Biden’s re-election campaign needs to intensify its efforts.
There are also concerns about Biden’s age.
If Biden is re-elected in November, he would be 86 at the end of his presidency.
Addressing these concerns, Harris stated:
“Let me just address the issue directly. I spend a lot of time with our president, be it in the Oval Office, the Situation Room. We have a president in Joe Biden who is forward-thinking in a way that we’ve not seen in a long time.”
She also acknowledged the Biden administration’s need to work hard for re-election in 2024.
“We have to earn the re-elect and we have to communicate what we have achieved,” she remarked.
