Billionaire leftist George Soros has declared the defeat of Russian leader Vladimir Putin is “inevitable,” adding that the world must now prepare for its “biggest problem” – climate change.
In an op-ed in the Irish Examiner titled “Russian defeat is inevitable, and will allow world to focus on our real problem — Climate change,” Soros emphasized, “[big] changes… in the global climate system.”
He then claimed climate change was due to “increased human interference, the separation between the Arctic climate system and the global climate system no longer prevail.”
Soros also appeared to suggest that the war in Ukraine distracted world leaders from climate issues.
After rambling on about climate change, Soros said he had confidence that defeating Putin would be “inevitable.”
“I am aware, of course, that a number of reputable publications have published articles that paint a much more dismal picture of the war’s progress,” Soros wrote.
“How can they be reconciled with the upbeat view that I hold? Only by postulating a successful disinformation campaign,” Soros added.
“The defeat of Russian imperialism will have far-reaching consequences for the rest of the world,” he continued.
“It will bring huge relief to open societies and create tremendous problems for closed ones. Most importantly, it will allow the world to concentrate on its biggest problem, climate change,” he concluded, not considering that the Ukrainian people might have other priorities like rebuilding their country and looking after war veterans.

Soros’ article appeared to be one massive rub of his ego, a testament to his supposed credentials as a geopolitical soothsayer.
The “most of the important predictions I made [at the Munich Security Conference] a month ago about the war — including that a powerful Ukrainian spring offensive will decisively turn the tide — are likely to come true,” Soros wrote, not even acknowledging the slightest possibility he might be wrong.
Meanwhile, Soros is being exposed as the architect behind exploding crime across America’s cities with the funding of multiple left-wing radical district attorney candidates.
As we reported earlier this month, George Soros’ Open Society Foundations poured at least $35 million into anti-police groups in 2021, according to tax forms.
Soros is wrong. The biggest problem is not Putin or climate change – it is him.
