In response to the recent reports of impending COVID-19 lockdowns, Dr Robert Malone urged Americans not to fall for the media’s “fear porn.”
Malone has been the subject of left-wing attacks as a “spreader of COVID disinformation,” and he was also banned from Twitter in December for allegedly violating the platform’s coronavirus misinformation policy.
“I personally believe that this is more fear porn. It’s not justified,” Malone told Just the News.
Dr Robert Malone also claimed the first COVID lockdowns were “illegal” in terms of “breaching of fundamental freedoms.”
“There’s absolutely no evidence that there’s going to be a need to reimpose” restrictions, he added.
Earlier this week, the Daily Fetched reported that colleges and offices were beginning to reinstate contact tracing and COVID mask mandates.
Morris Brown College in Atlanta reinstated the measures as part of a “precautionary step” despite no new reported cases.
The report noted that staff and students will be asked to wear masks while on campus.
According to a communication issued by the college, there have been “reports of positive cases among students in the Atlanta University Center,” a consortium of black colleges and universities located on the western side of Atlanta.
“We’re being pummeled with fear about extinction-level events,” Malone said, listing “human-induced climate change, infectious disease, [carbon-based] energy, and the fear of nuclear war” as examples.
“When you dive into the actual risks” of the new variants, Malone stated, they appear “pretty non-threatening,” and the chance of being seriously harmed by them is “extremely low.”
“This could be the wedge that really drives a break from federal policy by a wide number of states that are willing to damage their own economies to comply with what I assert is overt fear porn,” he opined.
“If the Feds go there, [are] Texas and Florida going to go there? Will California go there? Of course, they will. You know, with a moment’s notice.”
