Elon Musk Says He Won’t Donate to Trump or Biden

Billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has supported Republican causes since 2022, has revealed he will not donate to former president Donald Trump or Joe Biden ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

After GOP candidate Nikki Haley suspended her campaign this week, Trump is now the de facto nominee.

However, many expected Musk to get behind Trump and help beat Joe Biden, which doesn’t seem to be the case.

Musk is in an open feud with President Biden following the administration’s attempts to thwart his purchase of Twitter, now X. The billionaire has also been a vocal critic of Biden’s border policies and attacks on free speech.

Nevertheless, Musk decided he was not taking sides.

He wrote on X:

“Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President.”

Trump is facing a major financial toll following the recent New York Court rulings against him and his businesses, which resulted in fines and penalties exceeding $400,000,000.

Meanwhile, Musk has faced his own financial challenges after left-wing entities campaigned for advertisers not to buy ads on X.

CNBC reports that the Tesla/X/SpaceX CEO currently has a net worth of $195 billion.

The Trump campaign initially identified Musk as someone who would support their presidential campaign after he met with Trump earlier this week.

Regardless of financial support, Trump continues to gain popularity.

As The Daily Fetched reported earlier this week, a new CBS poll showed that voters are missing the economy under President Donald Trump as he took his biggest lead yet over Joe Biden by 4 points.

During Trump’s appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February 2021, he asked the crowd, “Do you miss me yet?”

He had only been out of office for a month; however, as it stands today, that question could not be more relevant.

The CBS poll asked voters about the economy, and 65 percent responded that the Trump era was excellent to good compared with Biden.

As for sleepy Joe, just 38 percent rated the economy as excellent or good.

The poll found that 59 percent of the people under Biden said the economy was fair or poor, and just 28 percent said the same about the Trump economy.

CBS’s Margaret Brennan called the results “Trump’s largest general election lead yet.”
