McConnell Tells Johnson To Stop Worrying About Border and Fund Ukraine

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told Republican House Mike Johnson that Ukraine funding is more important than fixing the border crisis and that he should pass it post-haste.

McConnell reached out to Democrats in the lower chamber to pass their Ukraine package.

McConnell’s disregard for the much-needed border security will undoubtedly make him less popular with the base.

Town Hall reported:

The initial deal was also a joke: $117 billion for border security, though the lion’s share of that package was devoted to Ukraine aid. Of course, there was an uproar from the GOP. This proposal was a three-month negotiation, which Mitch had to have known would collapse. It was a horrible ploy to satisfy conservatives, a poorly executed con to give the impression of being serious about border security when it wasn’t.

Also, spending around $20 billion on controlling the southern border is insufficient. When you factor in the government-funded immigration lawyers for illegal aliens under 13, the pathway to citizenship for unvetted Afghans, and new protections from deportation to children of H-1B visa holders—this ‘border bill’ was a nightmare. The Senate stripped the border measures, and now we’re dealing with this Ukraine/Israel package that’s around $100 billion as we approach a government shutdown on Friday.

McConnell also falsely claimed that Ukraine is a top priority for GOP voters.

As we reported this week, the majority of Americans want a secure border as millions of illegal aliens continue to flood into the country.

The Daily Fetched reported:

America is no exception. And with the massive cost of housing and taking care of illegal aliens ballooning to 451 billion, it’s little wonder why the country is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Jeff Rainforth reported on the border crisis, filming hundreds of illegals from Africa and Syria storming into the country.

After years of border chaos under Biden, the majority of Americans now support a border wall on the U.S. southern border with Mexico.

Earlier this month, Donald Trump made a chilling prediction about an impending terrorist attack due to the open border.

During a speech at the National Rifle Association’s annual gathering, Trump told attendees in Harrisburg, Pa., that he believes there is a “100 percent chance” that a terrorist attack will take place on U.S. soil due to the border crisis.

“Under Biden, millions of illegals are now pouring into our country, and these include terrorists,” Trump said.

“You have a 100% chance of a major terror attack in the not-too-distant future. It’s a terrible thing to say. … Remember the travel ban?”

“We didn’t take people from countries with massive terrorism attacks. We don’t want our shopping centers blown up. We don’t want our people destroyed. We don’t want dead children where a family will never be the same.”
