Hundreds of people who identify as dogs gathered in a city in Germany where they barked for their rights to identify as canines.
The ‘trans-species’ activists met at the Berlin Potsdamer Platz railway station in the German capital, where they howled at each other.
The group said they do not identify as humans and instead want to be recognized as canines.
The video below shows hundreds of people dressed as dogs outside the station, as bemused commuters walked by.

A Community X was posted beneath the video, appearing to add content to the video, writing:
“This gathering occurred during Folsom Europe, which is a gathering of gay men who are into various fetishes.”
“This particular fetish is called pup play, and these individuals, mostly young, are cosplaying. Most do not believe they are dogs but are wearing a fetish costume,” the X note added.
However, claiming “most do not believe they are dogs” is up for debate and is purely speculative.
The so-called trans-species people claim they do not identify as human beings but as specific animals or mythological beings.
The online reaction to the gathering was unsurprising, with many pointing out the absurdity of the event.
“Just abandon them in the Siberian tundra and let them survive with their canine instincts,” one user wrote.
Another person commented:
“Can you imagine when they all have to defecate?’
Another remarked, “Call animal control and give them their rabies doses.”
And another said: “But if they identify as dogs, why do they put on masks?”
Juanita Broaddrick wrote:
“I can hear the theme music for this … Who let the dogs out.”
Dog impersonators are becoming more common, especially within the trans community.
Among the best-known is a man in Japan who identifies as a Border Collie.
Known only as Toco, the man recently went viral for his authentic dog costume.
The man forked out a whopping two million Yen, which equates to over £15,00, for his costume to fulfill his lifelong fantasy of ‘becoming an animal.’
Toco quickly amassed over 52,000 subscribers on YouTube when he shared videos of him being taken out for walks.
Meanwhile, a British man, Tom Peters, hit the headlines when he identified as a Dalmatian.
