A Minnesota science teacher has claimed cell biology lessons are part of “capitalist indoctrination.“
Mandi Jung, a Highland Park Middle School teacher, said: “Lately, there’s been a lot of conversation about teachers indoctrinating students to their beliefs.”
“And I always find this funny because our children are seeped in capitalist indoctrination from like the second they’re born, basically,” she added.
The teacher then gave a “perfect example” of how “capitalist indoctrination” manifests itself in her science classes.
“Seventh-grade science… [is] the year that you learn that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell and all this cell biology,” she said.
“So at the end of the unit, I have [students] take a test. And one of the questions is ‘A person says the nucleus is the most important organelle in the cell. Do you agree or disagree, and why?” she asked.
“And almost every child says, ‘Yes, I agree. Because without a boss, the cell would be in total chaos.'”
Jung claimed that microscopic bacteria were the “original anarchists.”

“Bacteria don’t have a nucleus, and they are arguably one of the most successful classes of organisms on the planet. Bacteria out here being the original anarchists, right? No nucleus, no master. Seize the means of metabolism. I don’t know. It’s funny to me,” she said.
Jung also regularly posts her anti-capitalist views on her social media.
On Twitter, she wrote: “You are not a capitalist, you are an exploited worker with Stockholm syndrome.”
Jung also recommended a teacher use a Marxist political cartoon against Capitalism.
The poster said, “Capitalism. We rule you. We fool you. We shoot at you. We eat for you.”
The teacher also revealed that she used a survey that allows students to conceal a gender identity change in her classroom, Fox News reported.
“These are all resources that I use or have used at the beginning of the school year. Please enjoy,” the middle school teacher said.
The questions asked students about their preferred pronouns and names, and if those can be used when speaking directly with parents.
Some of the questions included:
“What name should I use when speaking to your parents?”
“What pronouns should we use when we talk about you? (CHOOSE AS MANY AS YOU WANT)”
“Is it okay to use the pronouns you selected above when we talk to your parents?”
“Is it okay to use the pronouns you selected above when we talk to other students or the class?
I taught Biology successfully for 25 years, this person is NOT a teacher nor a Biologist. It demeans the title of teacher. It saddens me greatly to see what has happened to our educational system.
Who could see this and not pull their kid from this kook’s class? When the community rejects this clown, she’ll be fired.

Elementary schools have traditionally let parents observe, but I’m not sure about middle schools and definitely not high schools. Perhaps this is a great way to see into your kids’ upper level teachers’ attitudes, checking out them on social media.

I’m old enough to have visited traveling circuses as a kid. I don’t know what that teacher’s pronoun-of-the-day is, but it looks like a “female” circus clown minus the funny hat. So many “woke” people deliberately make themselves look strange and I’m certain that their appearance reflects their mental condition.
Cells are mindless entities, their actions are guided by chemical reactions. They have no politics, no agenda, no voting booths. To somehow equate them with little anarchists or slave owners is the sign of a troubled mind (or that of someone with a strange sense of humor)

Online at-home schooling with tutors or consultants, pod schooling with others in the neighborhood, private-parochial charter schools, internships and apprenticeships are alternatives. Vote for school choice. Stop funding public schools. We live in a new electronic information age.

1) I call fake. I find it hard to believe that: almost every child says, ‘…Because without a boss…”. Since that is a medifor which I doubt would be almost universally used.
2) The most important structure is the DNA, IN BOTH those both with and without a nucleus — bacteria included. But it is not an organelle, so the most important is the organelle which contains the DNA.
The DNA is the “Boss” in bacteria as well. No anarchists. The joke is the question, not the answer.
