News network Newsmax is courting top-rated cable news host Tucker Carlson with a mega deal offer with an additional sweetener to give him extra freedom and control.
According to a developing report from TMZ, Newsmax is offering Carlson control over the entire Newsmax lineup.
The shackles of censorship would be truly broken for Tucker Carlson if he goes for the Newsmax deal.
But will he take it?

Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News, and now another conservative news outlet, Newsmax, wants him to be more than just the face of the network, and it’s putting on a full-court press to land him.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the news channel is doing everything it can to sweeten the deal for Tucker to come on board — including floating the idea of letting him program the whole channel, not just his own show.
That would be a pretty enticing deal point … in addition to having his own primetime show, Tucker would have a say over what shows lead into and out of his show, which can be key in achieving bigger TV ratings.
The news comes days after Carlson released an explosive statement hinting at his next move after being fired from the Fox News earlier this week.
During the video, Carlson lasted the establishment media for censoring honest debate.
“One of the first things you realize when you step outside the noise for a few days is how many genuinely nice people there are in this country,” Carlson began in his video posted on his Twitter account.
“Kind and decent people. People who really care about what’s true,” he added.
“The other thing you notice when you take a little time off is how unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are. They’re completely irrelevant; they mean nothing. In five years, we won’t even remember that we had them,” Carlson said.
“War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources. When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues? … Debates like that are not permitted in American media. Both political parties and their donors have reached consensus on what benefits them, and they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it,” Carlson added.
But Carlson also express optimism that media’s power in stifling debate won’t be “permanent.”
“Our current orthodoxies won’t last. They’re brain-dead. Nobody actually believes them. Hardly anyone’s life is improved by them,” he said.
