The Trump campaign called on the Republican National Committee (RNC) to cancel all future debates in order to focus on stopping Democrats from stealing the 2024 election.
Trump campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita issued a statement that read:
“The Republican National Committee should immediately cancel the upcoming debate in Miami and end all future debates in order to refocus its manpower and money on preventing Democrats’ efforts to steal the 2024 election.”
“Anything less, along with other reasons not to cancel, are an admission to the grassroots that their concerns about voter integrity are not taken seriously and national Republicans are more concerned about helping Joe Biden than ensuring a safe and secure election,” the statement adds.

The statement from the Trump campaign to the RNC came following the “squabbling match” during last week’s Fox News GOP debates.
As Kari Lake noted in August, Trump overshadowed the events by simply not attending.
“It’s kind of like the kids’ table at Thanksgiving,” Lake said.
“They’re going to be over there, throwing food and spilling stuff and causing trouble, but no one’s really going to be paying attention, I think, to this debate.”
Lake was right since Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson blew establishment network ratings out of the water.
Others calling for scrapping GOP debates include former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who noted that Trump is the clear nominee.
“Trump will be the nominee, and the question now for everybody is do you want to see Joe Biden reelected or do you want to help Donald Trump?” Gingrich said.
“There’s no middle ground here,” he added.
Trump also dismissed the notion of having any of the other candidates as a number two.
“They are all running for a job,” Trump told a crowd in Michigan.
“They’re all job candidates… they will do anything, secretary of something,” he added.
“They even say VP. I don’t know. Anybody see any VP in the group? I don’t think so.”
Earlier this month, Trump decided to ditch the debates and speak to a crowd of current and former union members in Detroit.
Trump skipped the first primary debate last month, opting for a pre-taped interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Trump’s statement posted to Truth Social:
“New CBS POLL, just out, has me leading the field by “legendary” numbers. TRUMP 62%, 46 Points above DeSanctimonious (who is crashing like an ailing bird!), Ramaswamy 7%, Pence 5%, Scott 3%, Haley 2%, Sloppy Chris Christie 2%, “Aida” Hutchinson 1%. The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had, with Energy Independence, Strong Borders & Military, Biggest EVER Tax & Regulation Cuts, No Inflation, Strongest Economy in History, & much more. I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!”
Last week, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie slammed Trump for “skipping debates” during the RNC primary debates.
Christie issued a hilarious warning to Trump, one of which made the former Governor look more stupid.
“And I want to look at camera right now tell you, Donald, I know you’re watching,” Christie said.
“You can’t help yourself. I know you’re watching, okay? “Christie said.
“And you’re not here tonight, not because of polls and not because of your indictments, you’re not here tonight because you’re afraid of being on the stage and defending your record,” he said.
“You’re ducking these things,” he continued.
