President Donald Trump responded to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s remarks that he would not be interested in becoming his running mate.
In an interview with the “Wisconsin Right Now” radio show, the Florida Governor said he sees himself as a leader and not a number two.
DeSantis expressed his preference to continue serving as governor and said the vice presidency lacks real authority.
As NBC reported:
When asked about his thoughts on selecting a running mate, DeSantis dismissed the idea as premature, stating that it is too early to consider such matters.
He emphasized the importance of winning early primaries as his primary focus at this stage.
Notably, DeSantis has recently intensified his criticisms of Trump.
During an appearance on the “Mark Belling Show,” he criticized both President Joe Biden and Trump for their inability to win over suburban women.
In response to DeSantis’ comments, a spokesperson from the Trump campaign dismissed the governor’s remarks:
“Ron DeSantis isn’t anybody’s guy,” Steven Cheung said.
“He’s not ‘the guy.’ He’s just a guy.’ Ron is just there, sullen and sad because his numbers are as tiny as him,” he added.
However, DeSantis stated that he would support the eventual Republican nominee, even if it turns out to be Trump.
Trump is continuing to hammer DeSantis and other GOP rivals in the polls.
Meanwhile, DeSantis is losing support from the media.
As The Daily Fetched reported on Wednesday, Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch who has pushed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s national profile through his media empire, has reportedly lost confidence in DeSantis’s ability to defeat President Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican primary.
According to a report from Rolling Stone, one Fox News insider said that Rupert and his son Lachlan Murdoch “are transactional and can smell a loser a mile away.”
A senior Fox source also said Murdoch’s “understandable worry is that we may end up being stuck with Trump anyway.”
“And DeSantis is underperforming. Anybody can see that … [and the Murdochs], they’re seeing it, too,” the source added.

The decision to run was an incredible blunder. It indicates awful judgement.
Plus his effort to remove Disney’s privileges failed. He is not effective.
His argument to win is to attract suburban women? How about trying issues?
Yet, you are pushing an unrepentant purveyor of genocide on the American People, who gave us Jan. 6 and millions of deaths and crippling injures, didn’t “Lock Her Up,” didn’t close the border and HIRED NOTHING BUT DEEP STATE SNAKES !
You seriously need your head examined.
You’re absolutely correct.
Hey nobody is perfect. I do wonder what Donald had in mind when he called a million people to Washington. He had nothing new to add in his little speech, then told them to go to the capitol where dozens of agent provocateurs invited them in. Now they are in gulags. What did that accomplish.
Yeah, because he has NEVER done anything in Florida that addresses the issues, has he? Jesus, read something before you post this nonsense.
I have to admit, the “I’m not a No.2 kind of guy” was arrogant to the hilt, and a big turnoff for me. The worst, though, was DeSantis aligning himself with RINO Paul Ryan, whom I consider lower than pond scum…despise that guy. Whoever RINO Ryan is for, I am automatically against.
Pride goeth before a fall. He will get his clock cleaned for him. And trump will never endorse him in the future either.
DeSantis has not aligned himself with Ryan, but we see Trump pushing the Deep State Snakes still to this day. Trump loves Kevin McCarthy and all the other deep state snakes he hired, instead of Draining the Swamp, Trump HIRED THEM ALL !!!!!
Trump gleefully has LBGTQ parties at his home, you will be held accountable for your choices at the Great Judgement.
Again, absolutely correct.
I bet Trump would never agree to being anyone’s No. 2 kind of guy. Is that a turn off for you?
Desantis has a huge ego. Even Richard Nixon recognized that the VP position is a step to the presidency. He needs to grow up before I’ll ever vote for him. Trump in 2024, God willing.
Trump is far more arrogant and his ego is not just huge, but also frail, which leads him to disastrous choices. He’s in his seventies and he still hasn’t grown up.
DJT’s personality has given the arrogant Democrats free reign to lie cheat and steal. He is never going back to the White House. Even if he can get 200,000,000 votes the people that run our pretend “elections” will never give up power.
