A Texas “pastor” has come under fire from parents after he dressed as the Grinch, holding up a sign stating “Santa is Fake, Jesus is Real” while standing outside an elementary school.
David Harold Grisham posed as Dr. Seuss character in front of Sleepy Hollow Elementary School in Amarillo, holding the sign.
However, the pastor was assaulted outside the school while the “police showed up in force.”
Grisham said police blocked him from “exercising my First Amendment rights as much as they could.”
Dressed as The Grinch, David Grisham carried a sign during the morning drop-off at Sleepy Hollow Elementary that read "Santa is Fake. Jesus is Real." Parents, as you might imagine, were not happy to see him.

“Hundreds of children heard the message and many parents as well,” He added.
“It’s very telling for a society to go this far in protecting a LIE. To go that far in trying to protect kids from hearing the truth. It’s no wonder our country is in trouble.”
A YouTube video showed at least two parents confronting Grisham over the sign.

“You shouldn’t lie to children,” Grisham can be heard saying before a man grabs his sign, rips it and throws it to the ground.
Grisham then tells the man to “get away from my stuff” before threatening to get his license plate.
The Amarillo Police told ABC 7 that Grisham was not arrested as he was “lawfully on the sidewalk” and not breaking any laws.
The school’s principal said Grisham was “unwanted and uninvited.”
“I’m saddened by the fact that some of our kiddos and families were frightened because of him,” said Kelsey Williams, according to the outlet.
Grisham also posted a twisted version of the holiday poem “T’was the Night Before Christmas” here the homeowner shoots Santa with the ending line “Santa is DEAD, But Christ is ALIVE!”
Grisham announced even more Grinches would be going out on the streets, to “preach” the same message.
