More than half of New Yorkers indicated they would like the state to curb their massive influx of migrants in the city, a situation which has many questioning Democrat leadership as the migrant crisis worsens.
According to a Siena College poll, 58 percent said New Yorkers have already done enough to help the migrants, and the state should now step in to slow down the flow.
Meanwhile, 79 percent of Republicans agreed, while 48 percent of Democratic voters concurred.
The poll found that 82 percent of respondents said they felt the migrant crisis was either somewhat or very serious.

The poll showed decreasing approval for Kathy Hochul, who garnered only 46 percent total approval.
Of the Democrat voters polled, just 47 percent said they would support their party re-nominating President Biden for 2024, while 46 percent said they would prefer another candidate.
New York has become so desperate that the Manhattan Correctional Center, the jail shuttered following the death of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, could be used to house illegal migrants.

A proposal mentioned earlier this month to Gov. Kathy Hochul aims to combat the impact of some 100,000 migrants who arrived in the city after crossing the southern US border.
Officials are obligated by law to obtain shelter for anyone needing it, according to NYC rules.
While homeless shelters are over capacity, NYC Mayor Eric Adams has resorted to renting hotels and using recreational centers and school gyms to house illegal migrants.
Now the jail which housed Epstein could be used to house migrants in New York City.
A senior counsel for the city’s law department identified several other sites to house migrants, including the now-defunct Metropolitan Correctional Center, which closed in 2021 after Epstein’s death.
