MSNBC host Joy Reid claimed that former U.N. Ambassador and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley faired poorly in Iowa because she is a “brown lady.”
“It’s the elephant in the room. She’s still a brown lady that has to try and win in a party that is deeply anti-immigrant,” Reid declared.
“She’s getting birthered by Donald Trump.”
Reid also added that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ “only argument” for remaining in the race is that “he’s a white guy.”

However, Reid failed to account for the fact that Haley is unpopular because she is being actively funded by Democrats, including LinkedIn founder and Espstien Island visitor Reid Hoffman.
Reid had also complained there were too many White Christian voters in Iowa to give a fair chance to another candidate besides Donald Trump.
“I feel like the important sort of data point… is that these are white Christians,” she said.
“This is a state that is overrepresented by white Christians that are going to participate in these caucuses, especially tonight…This is a hyper evangelical, white state.”
“They see themselves as the rightful inheritors of this country, and Trump has promised to give it back to them,” Reid continued.
“The country as a whole is approximately 41% white Christian, and in Iowa, we’re talking about evangelical white Christians.”

The host suggested that White Christian Iowans want people of colour to “bow down” to them.
Trump claimed his rightful status as the clear frontrunner following his landslide in Iowa on Monday.
As FT reported:
“With most of the votes counted from precincts across the Midwestern state, Trump was on course to win more than 51 per cent, with Ron DeSantis narrowly beating Nikki Haley to secure a distant second place, with just over 21 per cent support. Haley came in third, with around 19 per cent.”
