A Bronx furniture store in New York has been issued with a late order after it was discovered that it was housing illegal migrants.
The migrants were living in hazardous conditions, including inadequate ventilation and severe overcrowding, according to the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB).
At least ten migrants were removed from the stire, which was housing them illegally after converting the space into a makeshift residence with 45 beds.
However, city authorities need to find out where other possible residents may have fled to.
As the National Pulse noted, “The order follows a similar incident involving a Queens furniture store overseen by the same person. The Queens store was inspected and evacuated earlier in the week 74 migrants, primarily from West Africa, were found living there.”
The migrants were moved from the store Wednesday night.
CBS News reported:
With their suitcases packed, ten migrants boarded a bus Wednesday night, on the move once again. One man who was displaced told CBS New York he was paying $300 a month to stay there for two months. Unbeknownst to him, the building doesn’t have a permit for that. He’s now in the care of the city.
Residents in the area told CBS New York’s Naveen Dhaliwal they had no idea people were living inside a store.
“I didn’t even know a place was there for somebody to live … It’s not safe,” one person said.
“I walk by there every day, honestly. I would have never thought that was going on,” another person said.
“Someone needs to help them, pick them some type of shelter or something.”
Last month, Mayor Eric Adams admitted that New York City is “out of room, literally” after the city was flooded with 160,000 border crossers and illegal aliens since spring of 2022.
“We’re not just saying we’re out of room as a sound bite — we’re out of room, literally,” Adams said.
“People are going to be eventually sleeping on the streets.”
Adams also claimed he cannot revoke New York City’s sanctuary policy, which protects illegal aliens from being deported.

The news comes after Joe Biden’s visited the US-Mexico border in Texas, where he refused to address the death of Georgia college student Laken Riley and instead spoke about climate change.
