Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity announced he is leaving New York on his radio show Tuesday afternoon, saying that he was “broadcasting now from my new home in the free state of Florida.”
A longtime New Yorker, Hannity detailed why he left the Democrat-run city.
“Tonight, we are now broadcasting from my new home, the great free state of Florida,” he said.
“Like so many Americans, I left New York for good and am now in a state with, let’s see, warmer weather, law and order, better education, more freedom, better quality of life, and guess what — no state income tax.”
Hannity also mentioned another reason why he left the Big Apple.
“For the first time that I can think of in my adult life, I actually have representatives in the state that I’m living in that share my values,” he said.
“I have a governor by the name of Ron DeSantis and Sen. Marco Rubio and Sen. Rick Scott.”
“So I’m feeling a lot better about it,” Hannity said, according to an account of the move on the Fox News website.
He also noted that he has “been threatening now to do this for quite a while.”
Hannity then declared, “I am out. I am done. I’m finished. New York, New York, goodbye.”
Hannity noted that he is part of a national trend.
” It’s obvious this migration out of the blue states with high taxes, burdensome regulation, high crime, horrible school districts is real.”
“And if anything, I’m probably late and behind the curve,” he said
Hannity’s comments came after Mayor Eric Adams admitted that New York City is “out of room, literally” after the city was flooded with 160,000 border crossers and illegal aliens since spring of 2022.
Speaking with FOX5 NY’s Rosanna Scotto, Adams warned that border crossers and illegal aliens would soon be sleeping in the city streets if Biden continues to allow the open border to cause unprecedented unlawful immigration.
“We’re not just saying we’re out of room as a sound bite — we’re out of room, literally,” Adams said.
“People are going to be eventually sleeping on the streets.”
Adams also claimed he cannot revoke New York City’s sanctuary policy, which protects illegal aliens from being deported.

Eric Adams turned NYC into a Sanctuary City. He wanted illegals, he got them, and it's a predictable nightmare:
