Podcast host and political commentator Leilani Dowding joined author Mark Steyn on his show ‘Steyn Online’ earlier this week to discuss the “Net Zero” “scam.”
Steyn began the show by noting that Orwell would not have “foreseen” how the current climate propaganda being pushed on the masses has become an inflated version of ‘1984,’ adding that children snitching on their parents for having “ideologically impermissible thoughts” has now taken the form of children policing their own parents for not adhering to “saving the planet.”
As Steyn noted, the reality is much creepier, which Dowding agrees with.
“We have to look where this all stems from,” Dowding began.
“I’m a huge animal lover and an environmentalist. But this whole ‘net zero’ thing is a complete and utter scam.”
“I watched David Attenborough’s show six years ago about Walruses falling off cliffs, crying my eyes out, which was blamed on climate change.”
“Then I found out it was a complete and utter lie. It’s been happening for decades that Whaluruses tend to fall off cliffs, especially in scenarios when, for example, they are cornered by polar bears. Something they failed to mention in the documentary,” Dowding added.
“The thing is with David Attenborough; he isn’t actually a scientist like David Bellamy was.”
Leilani Dowding noted that, in contrast to the “Net Zero” push, Bellamy came out against ‘man-made climate change’ while working for BCC and became one of the first victims of ‘cancel culture for coming out against climate change.
Flying in the face of the prevailing orthodoxy, Bellamy dismissed global warming as “poppycock,” adding there was “no actual proof” human activity was causing a rise in temperatures.
Far from warming up, the planet is cooling, Bellamy said.
“The ice caps are actually getting bigger. Two thousand years ago, the Romans were growing red grapes on the Scottish border, and we had another very warm period in the Middle Ages,” the Botanist charged.
“There was less carbon dioxide being put out then so how can CO2 be the driver of climate change? It’s cyclical. In the last mini ice-age, which ended around 1850, the Thames used to freeze solid and we’re heading for another cool-down now.”
“I’ve seen evidence that says there has not been a rise in global temperature since 1998, despite the increase in carbon dioxide being pumped into the atmosphere. This makes me think the global warmers are telling lies.”
Before his death, Bellamy said his views on climate change were the catalyst for the downfall of his TV career.
Speaking in 2002, Bellamy said he was “banned from television,” telling The Guardian: “In some ways it was probably the most stupid thing I ever did because I’m sure that if I have been banned from television, that’s why.
Dowding noted that, unlike the late Bellamy, David Attenborough makes a “fortune” because he toes the line with “renewables” narratives to investment firms.
“When I was ins pain last year, there was a guy who worked in the renewable department in a big bank, and he was talking about how he was really excited about getting David Attenborough, obviously paying him fortunes to gain more investment into renewables. It’s like a Ponzi scheme which scars the countryside with things like solar farms.”
