Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and New York Democrats have been caught on video proudly waving China’s national flag, the United States’ biggest adversary.
According to a report from the National Review, Schumer waved the flag “just moments after the organizers of a Lunar New Year event blasted China’s national anthem in the middle of Manhattan.”

The outlet added:
“Schumer’s apparent willingness to wave the flag of a foreign authoritarian government calls attention to the strange nature of the New York political world’s engagements with community events that feature a pro-Beijing twist.”
Schumer was onstage at a rally ahead of an annual parade in Manhattan’s Chinatown district with other city politicians, Chinese ambassador Huang Ping, and Wu Xiaoming, a senior consular official linked to China’s secret police station in New York.”
Huang Ping is known to push CCP propaganda:
Yahoo reported:
A controversial Chinese official continued his United States college campus tour earlier this month, visiting two more universities despite his previous comments praising the CCP and denying an alleged Uyghur genocide in China.
“An in-depth conversation on China’s economy and China-US relations with future business leaders from the Baruch College,” Huang Ping, consul general of the People’s Republic of China in New York, recently posted on X during a visit to Baruch College.
“You guys are awesome, and the questions are pointed. Looking forward to many more! May you continue to shine brightly in your academic and career pursuits!”
Ping has shown up at several universities and meetings with officials in the media and politics over the past year despite previously praising the CCP and denying allegations of genocide against China’s Uyghur Muslim population.
“There are lots of lies here, fabricated by some people with their own political agenda,” Huang said in an August 2021 interview, denying the existence of genocide and internment camps targeting Uyghurs. “As I said, there’s no genocide, not a single evidence to prove that there’s a genocide or something there. It’s just a slandering.”
Others in attendance with Schumer were New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and NYC Mayor Eric Adams, along with other NY legislators and city council members.
As Conservative Brief noted:
“The “Star-Spangled Banner” and “March of the Volunteers,” the national anthems of China and the United States, respectively, were performed near the event’s conclusion by a singer.”
NR added:
“At one point during the latter song, Schumer appeared to put his hand over his heart before quickly removing it. Then, someone in the crowd attempted to hand Hochul — who waved China’s flag at last year’s event — an American and a Chinese flag. She appeared not to accept them. Instead, Schumer grabbed the two flags and vigorously waved them for a moment.
Remarks by Schumer, Hochul, and others at the event consisted of boilerplate praise of New York’s Chinese-American community and remarks about the importance of fighting anti-Asian racism.“
Schumer also called for more immigration from China in his speech.
“I am proud to say that I am a fighter to get comprehensive immigration reform to allow many more Chinese to come to America,” he said.
Last year, Chinese President Xi Jinping warned Joe Biden he planned to absorb Taiwan by force during their Recent summit in San Francisco,
According to sources, Xi told Biden that China would unify with Taiwan but did not give a timetable, adding, “a group meeting attended by a dozen American and Chinese officials that China’s preference is to take Taiwan peacefully, not by force.”
