Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of pushing Hamas “propaganda” over reports Israel is killing women, children, and babies.
Trudeau called on Israel to “exercise maximum restraint” during a news conference on Tuesday.
The Canadian PM warned Netanyahu that the “world is watching” as the country fights against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
“We’re hearing the testimonies of doctors, family members, survivors, kids who have lost their parents,” Trudeau said.
“The world is witnessing this killing of women, of children, of babies. This has to stop.”
However, Trudeau fell short of making the moral and legal distinction between Hamas attacks on Israeli civilians and Palestinian deaths that occurred as a result of Israel’s response, the Times of Israel reported.
He also failed to note other reports that Hamas is using civilians as human shields, which has resulted in more casualties.
Netanyahu quickly accused Trudeau of pushing propaganda, which is said is propagated by Hamas.
“It is not Israel that is deliberately targeting civilians but Hamas that beheaded, burned and massacred civilians in the worst horrors perpetrated on Jews since the Holocaust.”
“While Israel is doing everything to keep civilians out of harm’s way, Hamas is doing everything to keep them in harm’s way.”
“Israel provides civilians in Gaza humanitarian corridors and safe zones, Hamas prevents them from leaving at gunpoint.”
“It is Hamas not Israel that should be held accountable for committing a double war crime – targeting civilians while hiding behind civilians.”
“The forces of civilization must back Israel in defeating Hamas barbarism.”

It is not Israel that is deliberately targeting civilians but Hamas that beheaded, burned and massacred civilians in the worst horrors perpetrated on Jews since the Holocaust.
While Israel is doing everything to keep civilians out of harm’s way, Hamas is doing…
Another example of Trudeau running with hardline Hamas propaganda was when he quickly blamed Israel for a deadly explosion at the Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza last month.
Trudeau called the situation “absolutely unacceptable,” telling reporters that “it’s not legal” to bomb a hospital.
“The news coming out of Gaza is horrific,” the prime minister said, Reuters reports.
“International humanitarian and international law needs to be respected in this and in all cases,” he said.
“There are rules around wars and it’s not acceptable to hit a hospital.”
The IDF has since released audio, which they claim shows terrorists reacting once they realize their mistake.
Multiple outlets, including News wires like the Getty Photo Service, published unproven claims Israel had “attack[ed]” the hospital, citing the “Gaza Health Ministry,”
An initial BBC report also laid the blame on Israel.
Of all the misreporting last night, I think this from the BBC is perhaps the most egregious.

Ignores that an arsenal of varied rockets are fired out of Gaza. Ignores that Iron Dome specifically targets missiles aiming for civilian areas.
Utterly dire.
