Confused Joe Biden told reporters that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “losing the war in Iraq” in what appears to be one of his most embarrassing gaffes yet.
Reporters asked Biden outside the White House if last week’s mercenary insurrection weakened Putin domestically.
“It’s hard to tell,” Biden responded.
“He is clearly losing the war in Iraq,” Biden said of Putin, getting the country wrong.

“He’s losing the war at home and has become a bit of a pariah around the world.”
When he made the gaffe, Biden was on his way to Chicago to deliver an address on “Bidenomics” amid a struggling economy.
Biden was on his way to Chicago to deliver an address on what his White House is calling “Bidenomics” amid a struggling economy when he made the gaffe.
To top things off, Biden was even carrying a note card (that obviously didn’t help him.)
Reporters also captured Biden carrying a notecard during the gaggle.
The card headline was “Daily News Summary 06/28/23.”
The card’s first bullet point was “Vagner-Russia” with a talking point: “This was an internal Russian matter. Too soon to know.”
A Bloomberg reporter revealed Biden also said “Iraq” during a conversation on Tuesday about the Ukraine war.
Earlier this month, Joe Biden forgot what year it was during a visit to Palo Alto, California, when he promised his administration would “by 2020 … have conserved over 30 percent of the lands and waters the United States has jurisdiction over.”
