Joe Biden’s visit to Palo Alto, California, turned out to be a gaffe filled mess after he promised his administration would “by 2020 … have conserved over 30 percent of the lands and waters the United States has jurisdiction over.”
It’s 2023, Joe! Are we mean’t to use a time machine?
Biden’s visit was to announce even more Government spending, this time over $600 million for “climate adaption projects.”
A glance at the transcript of Biden’s remarks, it was not surprising his address would be full of blunders.

“I’ve committed by 2020 [2030], we will have conserved 30 percent of all the lands and waters the United States has jurisdiction over and simultaneously reduce emissions to blunt climate impacts.”
This came moments after Biden said his administration would spend “$3.5 million to reduce or eliminate the risk of repetitive flood damage to buildings, plus $1 billion in funding mitigation measures to increase community resilience, like supporting adaptations of hazard-resistant building codes.” [Emphasis ours, since, as the transcript states, the actual number is $3.5 billion.]
And then, just moments before that: “40 million Americans already drinking water that thousands of farmers rely on for — for integration. And 40 million counts on that river, and so do the farmers.”

I am currently in Connecticut on a trip and this place is so deep blue that it is a lost cause. I actually saw a car with a Biden/Harris bumper sticker. I don’t understand how anyone could vote for him then or now but that is what will happen.
Leftism is a mental disorder. You really have to ignore reality, human nature, and common sense to support it. It is hard to combat because competent, knowledgable people can have rational disagreements. The left is not rational, knowledgable, or competent making speaking to them a foolish task.
