First Lady Jill Biden faced ridicule on social media after she spoke at a high school under a sign, which made her visit a little awkward.
The school’s name, Hunter High School in Utah, drew attention during her visit.
Jill was in Utah to attend a fundraiser for President Biden.
Her stop at the school in West Valley City included a visit with faculty and a performance by the school choir before speaking about the value of education and the importance of educators.
However, social media users pointed out the irony of the “Hunter High” signs in the background as the First Lady gave her speech.
Angela Morabito, a spokeswoman for the Defense of Freedom Institute, wrote:
“Jill Biden trying to distract from her comments about Hunter’s drug abuse, and ending up under a giant banner reading ‘Hunter High,’ is straight out of a VEEP episode.”

The First Son’s battle with drug addiction is detailed in his 2018 memoir Beautiful Things.
Hunter is currently involved in a legal battle over federal gun charges after he allegedly lied about his drug use on a gun purchase form in October 2018.
Hunter has acknowledged his struggle with crack cocaine addiction, but his attorneys argue he did not break the law.
He has claimed to have stopped using drugs and is working on turning his life around.

“I think what they are doing to Hunter is cruel,” Jill told MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski.
“And I’m really proud of how Hunter has rebuilt his life after addiction.”
“I love my son and it’s had — it’s hurt my grandchildren and that’s what I’m so concerned about, that it’s affecting their lives as well.”
