After weeks of pressure from Republican lawmakers, FBI Director Christopher Wray finally agreed to hand over an unclassified document that allegedly links Joe Biden to a $5 million bribery scheme.
The FD-1023 document allegedly shows an “exchange of money for policy decisions” between now-President Joe Biden “and a foreign national,” Breitbart reported.
The document is a record of an FBI-conducted interview with an informant.
“Chairman Comer will receive a briefing from the FBI and review the document on Monday. Chairman Comer has been clear that anything short of producing the FD-1023 form to the House Oversight Committee is not in compliance with his subpoena,” the spokesperson told Breitbart.
“This unclassified record contains pages of details that need to be investigated further by the House Oversight Committee.”
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer planned a meeting with Wray, where he confirmed the document’s existence.
The document contains information about a shady arrangement between current President Biden and a foreign individual.
However, Comer noted that Wray still refuses to comply with a congressional subpoena to turn over the unclassified document.
“Today, FBI Director Wray confirmed the existence of the FD-1023 form alleging then-Vice President Biden engaged in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national,” Comer noted.
“However, Director Wray did not commit to producing the documents subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee.”
“While Director Wray – after a month of refusing to even acknowledge that the form existed – has offered to allow us to see the documents in person at FBI headquarters, we have been clear that anything short of producing these documents to the House Oversight Committee is not in compliance with the subpoena,” Comer continued.
“If the FBI fails to hand over the FD-1023 form as required by the subpoena, the House Oversight Committee will begin contempt of Congress proceedings,” he added.
On Tuesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy warned that Wray’s failure to produce the subpoenaed document would force him to launch contempt proceedings.
As The Conservative Brief notes, the committee investigating allegations of improper foreign business transactions has also issued a subpoena for the records of a cellphone used by President Biden and reportedly paid for by his son, Hunter Biden.
In an interview, Peter Schweizer, who is known for his focus on political corruption, stated that the records in question were discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop computer. The phone in question was reportedly utilized between 2009 and 2017, a period when the current president served as vice president.
“We obtained that phone number, and we’ve shared it with individuals, and the Oversight Committee in Congress is going to subpoena those phone records. And what’s important here is that it’s not a government phone; this is not Joe Biden’s private phone that he’s paying for himself. It’s actually [Hunter] Biden’s business that paid for it,” Schweizer told WABC’s Cats & Cosby.
“I think it’s going to yield a lot of interesting information as to who Joe Biden was talking to on this phone that was being paid for by his son,” Schweizer, author of several books on political corruption including, “Secret Empires: How Our Politicians Hide Corruption and Enrich Their Friends and Households,” told the hosts.
Last week, Comer revealed an informant file he’s requested from the FBI shows the allegations that Joe Biden is linked to a $5 million bribery scheme while he served as Vice President.
The New York Post reported:
“The informant tip is dated June 30, 2020; Comer wrote — an additional clue in the mysterious allegation that triggered a guessing game due to the Biden family’s extensive consulting work in countries where the then-VP held sway. In a remarkable coincidence, Ukrainian officials held a press conference in Kyiv on June 13, 2020 — 17 days before the FBI tipoff — where they showed off $5 million in cash allegedly offered as a bribe to end an investigation of natural gas company Burisma’s founder Mykola Zlochevsky.”
Meanwhile, an IRS whistleblower who claims the DOJ interfered with the IRS investigation into Hunter Biden has also come forward.
“When I took control of this particular investigation, I immediately saw it was way outside the norm of what I’ve experienced in the past,” Gary Shapley, a 14-year IRS vet, told CBS News late last month.
