Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr (RFK Jr) said the “weaponized” FBI used a “matrix of lies” to try and “destroy a sitting president.”
RFK Jr was responding to journalist Matt Taibbi’s reporting on the recent Durham report, which confirmed bogus charges of “Russian collusion” against the Trump campaign, concluding the FBI had no grounds to launch the investigation against the president.
“This is no partisan skirmish,” Kennedy tweeted.
“It is about the political weaponization of the FBI to destroy a candidate and then a sitting President.”
“It’s about a matrix of lies so elaborate as to make a mockery of the democratic ideal of an informed citizenry.”
RFK Jr also blasted the establishment media for perpetuating the Russian collusion nonsense for years.
“Maybe most alarming of all, the Durham investigation reveals the abject complicity of the mainstream press, which has yet to admit they were taken in by the big lie, propagated it, and now continues to permit those lies to stand as truth,” Kennedy stated.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview on the Dr. Drew podcast, RFK Jr noted, “When my uncle left office in 1964, 80% of Americans trusted the government and even more trusted the media… Today 22% of Americans trust the government, and those are people who I would say are not paying attention.”
As we reported last week, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow dismissed the Durham report after it contradicted the Trump-Russia narrative she has been pushing for years on the network.
“Well, the reason we’re watching for the right and their reaction to this is because the Durham report is only really long awaited by them, and they really, really have been awaiting this report,” Maddow told viewers.
