Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is charging as much as $100,000 for speaking engagements as his net worth balloons to over $10 million.
Fauci’s listing in Leading Motivational Speakers is listed under the “motivational speakers” and “healthcare speakers” categories.
He charges a hefty fee for speaking engagements ranging from $50,000 to $100,000.
Fauci’s next speaking engagement will be at the ale School of Medicine on May 22.
Christina Pushaw, the director of Rapid Response for Gov. Ron DeSantis’s reelection campaign, blasted Fauci for his high speaking fee, tweeting a photo of the listing and simply asking, “SERIOUSLY???”
Meanwhile, Substack writer Jordan Schachtel responded to the news by saying, “Follow The Science Starting at 50k an hour.”
As of January 2022, Fauci’s net worth was estimated to be more than $10 million, with his salary being the highest in the federal government at roughly $480,000.
As The Nation Review reported last year, Anthony Fauci and his wife’s net worth soared during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a government spending transparency watchdog group.
The Fauci household net worth increased by $5 million between 2019 and 2021 and now exceeds $12.6 million, the nonprofit OpenTheBooks reported.
The majority wealth increase enjoyed by Fauci and his wife, chief bio-ethicist at the National Institutes of Health, Christine Grady, came from investment gains, gifts and awards, and federal employment compensation, according to the records.
Grady earned $238,970 in 2021, making more than the vice president.
“While Dr. Fauci has been a government bureaucrat for more than 55 years, his household net worth skyrocketed during the pandemic,” OpenTheBooks CEO Adam Andrzejewski told Fox News.
“Fauci’s soaring net worth was based on career-end salary spiking, lucrative cash prizes awarded by nonprofit organizations around the world and an ever-larger investment portfolio.”
Fauci retired as medical adviser to Biden at the end of last year.
