Former President Donald Trump has taken to Truth Social to address recent reports about his time spent coming up with a nickname for potential presidential candidate Ron DeSantis.
In his post, Trump denies these reports, stating that the subject of nicknaming is “very unimportant” to him.
Trump wrote on Truth Social:
“All of the Fake News is reporting that I spend large amounts of my time coming up with a good “nickname” for Ron DeSanctimonious, who is obviously going to give the presidential “thing” a shot.”
“They are all 100% wrong, I don’t even think about it — A very unimportant subject to me!!!”
Although Trump does give Democrats and RINOs hilarious nicknames, such as “Crooked Hillary” for Hillary Clinton, “Sleepy Joe” for Joe Biden AND “Pencil neck Shifty Schiff” for Adam Schiff, to suggest Trump spends time “crafting” nicknames is absurd.
Trump is not a typical politician, and often uses these nicknames to call out corrupt Democrats and RINOs, bringing more attention to them. He often comes up with nicknames at the spare of the moment at his hugely popular rallies.
Trump denies that he is spending any significant amount of time on coming up with a nickname for Ron DeSantis, who is rumored to be considering a run for the presidency in 2024.
According to Trump, this is a subject that he does not think about and is, in his words, “very unimportant.”
Trump’s post suggests he is more focused on critical issues rather than wasting time on petty insults against Disantis.
As The Daily Fetched reported last week, Trump recently made accusations against Ron DeSantis, claiming that he engaged in inappropriate behavior with high school students.
The accusations were made in a Truth Social post, where a user shared a picture of DeSantis with three young women and made a suggestive caption.
DeSantis did not directly address the allegations made by Trump, but instead took a subtle jab at the former president.
DeSantis said he refuses to engage in personal attacks and smear campaigns like Trump.
“I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida and fighting against Joe Biden,” DeSantis said.
“That’s how I spend my time.”
DeSantis still does not have a Truth Social account.
