CNN has hired retired lawmaker Rep. Adam Kinzinger as the network’s new senior political commentator.
Kinzinger, who was part of Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th Committee and voted to impeach Trump, tweeted he was “Happy to join the team CNN!”

Kinzinger, who served six years in Congress, lost his seat after the Illinois House of Representatives approved a new congressional district map.

In Kinzinger’s farewell speech to Congress, he accused Republicans of being racists “who only stoke hatred.”
