Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) reacted angrily to Wednesday night’s CNN town hall featuring former President Donald Trump, blasting the network for hosting the event.
AOC took to social media to attack CNN.
“CNN should be ashamed of themselves,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
“They have lost total control of this ‘town hall’ to again be manipulated into platforming election disinformation, defenses of Jan 6th, and a public attack on a sexual abuse victim. The audience is cheering him on and laughing at the host.”

They have lost total control of this “town hall” to again be manipulated into platforming election disinformation, defenses of Jan 6th, and a public attack on a sexual abuse victim.
The audience is cheering him on and laughing at the host.
“This falls squarely on CNN,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
“Everyone here saw exactly what was going to happen. Instead, they put a sexual abuse victim in harm’s way for views.”
“This was a choice to platform lies about the election & Jan 6th w/ no plan but to have their moderator interrupted without consequence.”

The Town Hall in New Hampshire saw Trump tackle a range of issues and also took control of the interview.
Trump also touched on the election result itself.
He also added, “Unless You’re a Very Stupid Person,” You See, the 2020 Election Was Rigged.

Trump masterfully took on arguments to host Kaitlan Collins, all while speaking directly to the audience about “gotcha” topics.
While the audience was composed of Republicans and independents, it was largely favorable to Trump and laughed and cheered throughout the broadcast.
Trump also drew laughs when he said the judge in E Jean Carroll’s civil lawsuit refused to allow his attorneys to submit Evidence that Carroll had a cat named “Vagina.”
“I like you guys,” Trump told the crowd as the evening concluded.
