Hollywood producer and writer Laurence Andries has been charged by police for drugging and raping a man, according to reports.
The man came forth after concerns about the Hollywood producer having more victims, ABC7 reported.
“I believe that he drugged one of my drinks, took me to his place and then… I can’t say the word. I’m sorry, I can’t say it,” the man, who wants to be identified as John Doe, said.
According to the criminal complaint, Andries who worked on shows including “Six Feet Under,” “Blue Bloods,” “How to Get Away with Murder” was John Doe’s mentor.
John Doe alleged he became friends with Andries after meeting him at a writers’ program.
However, things changed in 2022 when Andries invited him out for drinks.
“I always made it very clear, like, I’m heterosexual, that’s not me, OK,” John Doe said.
“I never even thought I had to say ‘This (expletive) is never going to happen.'”
John Doe said the revelations put his Hollywood career in peril but hopes to inspire others to come forward.
“You still have a voice. He did not take that away from you,” John Doe said.
“You have power to use your voice to help to ensure that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.”

Andries serves as an advisor the Writers Guild Foundation, where he also served as VP of programming, according to their website.
Many military veterans turned writers have previously posted about Andries, describing him as a beloved mentor on social media.
Freelance writer Adam Korenman spoke highly of Andries in a 2019 post.
“Some of the best career advice I ever heard came from Larry Andries, an incredible writer/producer/human,” Korenman wrote.
“He said, “Don’t be an as*.” No matter what kind of writer you want to be, treat everyone with respect. Be empathetic. It’ll make you a better writer and person.”
In his last post, from February 24, he wrote alongside a selfie: “The future looks bright, and wonderfully immersive.”
