Chelsea Clinton claimed she left the Baptist Church at the age of six due to its stance on abortion, according to a recent interview.
During an fundraising event for her mother, Hillary, Chelsea made an attempt to engage with evangelical voters who have doubts about her mother’s so-called religious faith
Chelsea recalled how she felt troubled when teachers discussed the immorality of abortion in Sunday school.
“I find it quite insulting sometimes when people say to my mom, my dad or me . . . that they question our faith,’ Chelsea said.
“I was raised in a Methodist church and I left the Baptist church before my dad did, because I didn’t know why they were talking to me about abortion when I was 6 in Sunday school — that’s a true story.”
“My mother is very deeply a person of faith,” Chelsea explained.
“It is deeply authentic and real for my mother, and it guides so much of her moral compass, but also her life’s work.”
However, Chelsea faced massuve backlash from many who believe that she oversimplified complex religious and ethical issues.
Here are some reactions on X:
Why would she know what abortion is at 6 years old? 🤔

The Clintons are all hideous and depraved liars.
What prepubescent 6-year-old girl is thinking about her “reproductive rights”(i.e. the manmade, unnatural, grotesquely brutal “right” to murder her preborn child?)
Is this like that time Kamala Harris was a kid at a civil rights march and her mother asked her what she needed and she just looked at her and said…

“Fweedom”
This sin’t the first time Chelsea has made outrageous claims on abortion.
In 2018, she suggested it would go against Christian values for the U.S. to revert to a time before Roe v. Wade.
“When I think about all of the statistics today in our country… and how many women died and how many more women were maimed because of unsafe abortion practices, we just can’t go back to that,” she said at the time.
“That’s unconscionable to me, and also, I’m sure that this will unleash another wave of hate in my direction, but as a deeply religious person, it’s also unchristian to me.”
