Former CNN host Don Lemon sent shockwaves across social media this week after he admitted that he now watches conservative news and has “cut the cord” on mainstream media.
After disappearing from the limelight following his departure from CNN, Lemon reemerged in an interview with Puck News.
Appearing alongside fellow guests, including Mickey Drexler, Risa Heller, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jeffrey Leeds, Lemon recommended a series of podcasts and shows.
Lemon said he had “cut the cord” from mainstream media, admitting he gets news from fairly conservative content sources.
“Since leaving corporate media, I cut the cord,” Lemon began.
“I have an extensive, eclectic streaming palate now,” he said.
Lemon went on to list the news sources:
“Fellow Travelers on Showtime; PBDPodcast (it’s very conservative)”
“The Ben Shapiro Show (I want to hear his take on Israel)”
“Pivot (of course)”
“Piers Morgan Uncensored (very real, authentic conversations you don’t get in corporate media)”
“Pod Save America (obvi)”
“The Daily (every single day)”
“Smartless (the best)”
“The Adam Friedland Show (smart, irreverent, funny; download the Chet Hanks episode for evidence).”
The most surprising of Lemon’s suggestions is The Daily Wire show, given his past clashes with Shapiro.
Another curious choice was Patrick Bet David’s PBD Podcast.
In 2017, Shapiro blasted Lemon on the topic of bringing down historical monuments to Confederate Veterans in the wake of the Charlottesville protests.

In February this year, Megyn Kelly also clashed with Lemon after he called Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley past her prime.
“This is blatant sexism,” Kelly blasted during her SiriusXM The Megyn Kelly Show.
“Shame on him for doing this on the air, and frankly, those other women on set with him were pathetic and weak in calling him out,” she said.
“He deserved a more robust response. He deserves it now from colleagues at CNN, he deserves it from the colleagues in the news industry and the bosses at CNN.”
