A Wisconsin museum is facing backlash after erecting a Satanic Christmas tree as part of their annual Christmas tree festival.
This Christmas tree was from the Satanic temple.
The National Railroad Museum in Ashwaubenon also featured 66 trees in their display.
The tree from the Satanic Temple of Wisconsin caused anger amongst Republican congressmen, who described it as “cultural propaganda” and “offensive.”
Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis., said:
“Conservatives are often accused of launching a culture war or focusing or fixating on cultural issues.”
“But here is a perfect example of how that’s not what’s happening.”
“What’s happening is we’re just trying to defend basic traditions or defend our children in the midst of these basic traditions, from the encroachment of woke ideology or offensive upside down cultural propaganda.”
The Satanic Temple Christmas tree was decorated with red lighting and beads, pentagrams, and even an ornament that read, “Hail Santa,” an apparent play off the phrase, “Hail Satan.”
Meanwhile, the Gender Diversity tree included pink and blue colored trans flags, along with logans reading, “Protect Trans Kids.”
Museum CEO Jacqueline Frank admitted that residents expressed concern over the presence of the trees.
Others took to social media to air to express outrage over the tree.
Matt Batzel, executive director of conservative grassroots organization American Majority, wrote in a post on X:
“Outrageous! National Railroad Museum features a Satanic worship tree.”

One asked why the satanic tree would be displayed at a “family-friendly event.”

British Conservative Paul Joseph Watson also chimed in:
“Christmas is literally named after Jesus Christ, so it makes perfect sense for the Satanists to attempt to take it over, and that’s exactly what has happened at a museum in Wisconsin.”

Fox News senior correspondent Alicia Acuna responded to the report, saying:
“You also have to think about parents who are now ending up in conversations that they didn’t expect because they were just going to see a bunch of Christmas trees.”
“And now people celebrate Christmas and not necessarily in a Christian way. So, do these folks have a right to be there? Yes. Is it in the Christmas spirit? No,” she added.
