News Anchor Finds Something ‘Peculiar’ with Nancy Pelosi’s Subpoena

Not long after Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement that she was served a subpoena “to produce documents in a criminal case,” Fox News anchor Jesse Watters noted there was something “peculiar” about the whole situation.

On Wednesday, the House clerk read a statement from Pelosi, advising she has been subpoenaed.

The statement said Pelosi had been served “third-party subpoenas from the prosecution and the defendant to produce documents in a criminal case in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.”

However, Pelosi was not forthcoming about what the case actually was.

While many believe the Nancy Pelosi’s subpoena is related to the trial of David DePape, the man accused of attacking Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, after breaking into their San Francisco home, Watters said it might be something else.

“So Nancy Pelosi is being subpoenaed in a criminal case? What criminal case?” Watters began.

“Could it be related to the hammer attack on her husband, Pauly P? ‘Cause that trial starts next week,” he pointed out.

“Does it have something to do with her husband’s DUI?” Watters continued, referring to Paul Pelosi’s drunk driving conviction last year.

“Or is there something behind door No. 3?” he asked.

“Maybe a little insider trading?”

“The son’s shady business dealings? We don’t know,” the host continued.

“We asked Pelosi’s office to explain. They said, ‘No comment.’

“But subpoenas aren’t nothing, especially in a criminal case,” Watters said.

“It suggests there’s something Nancy does not want to hand over voluntarily.”

“You don’t subpoena the willing.”

Watch

Watters is right.

Why would Nancy Pelosi need to be compelled to turn over information regarding her husband’s attack?

Innocent victims will do everything to cooperate with investigators and won’t need a subpoena.

If Pelosi is indeed withholding documents in the DePape case, it only adds more questions about the already bizarre incident.

While this doesn’t suggest that Pelosi cooked up against her husband, there are so many questions remaining.

As Watters noted, the subpoena may be related to another case altogether.

As such, it would be easy to convey to the public, but Pelosi is allowing wild rumors to be spun all over social media.

Why?

Pelosi’s silence speaks volumes.
